Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced Procurement Leader to execute logistics category strategies and act as a business partner to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will drive cross-functional sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and lead complex RFx projects in an international environment.

You will leverage Power BI and data analytics to inform decision-making, ensure compliance with policies, and support sustainability and cost optimization initiatives.

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Fluent English (written and spoken) and German is required.
• Extensive procurement experience in an international environment.
• 7–10 years in Procurement, including at least 3 years in Logistics categories.
• Proven experience in logistics procurement (transportation, warehousing, freight, etc.).
• Strong stakeholder management across functions and levels.
• Ability to work independently with limited guidance and make sound decisions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI and data reporting.
• Willingness to travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for Logistics.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and suppliers.
• Define sourcing strategies and lead complex sourcing projects, RFx processes, supplier selection, negotiations, and due diligence.
• Conduct spend analysis, benchmarking, price analysis, Should-Cost modelling, and TCO assessments.
