Job summary

Roche Digital Technologies (RDT) – Biometrics and Clinical Evidence seeks a Solution Architect to design future-ready, standards-based solutions across complex clinical data ecosystems. You will define end-to-end architectures, oversee non-functional requirements, and guide product teams while evaluating emerging AI/ML technologies to accelerate impact for Roche.

You will lead architecture roadmaps, mentor engineering teams, and ensure compliance with Pharma standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a Solution Architect or Tech Lead, with at least 4 years in Life Sciences.
• Experience designing standards-based, future-ready solutions in complex multi-solution contexts.
• Ability to maintain vision and roadmaps across multiple solutions and assess impacts.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop IT Product roadmap with engineering teams and advise on technology choices.
• Design end-to-end architecture within the CRF & RWD Data Acquisition ecosystem.
• Ensure compliance with Roche enterprise standards and policies.
• Assess requirements with BI/tech teams to define architecture runway and key decisions.
• Document and evolve architecture through product life cycle.
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve technical challenges during system development and support.
• Pilot emerging technologies and propose adoption as appropriate.
• Identify cost-savings opportunities and optimize IT investments.
• Mitigate security and compliance risks from technical debt.
• Lead PoCs to assess technical viability with the Tech team.
• Work with RDT adopting AI/ML for data pipelines.
• Collaborate with solution, information, and enterprise architects across products.
