Job summary

Brightstar Lottery, a global leader in lottery technology, is hiring a senior Java software engineer in Warsaw to lead delivery of core platforms. You will design, develop, test and deploy robust solutions, mentoring junior engineers and guiding projects end-to-end.

You will work with Business Analysts and customers to refine requirements, estimate work, and ensure timely, high-quality releases. Proficiency in Java, Hibernate, Spring, and RESTful APIs is essential, along with experience in RDBMS

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master of Computer Science degree or equivalent.
• 4+ years' experience with Java - Familiar with J2EE concepts.
• Strong knowledge of Hibernate and Spring.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, SQL. (DB2 knowledge a plus).
• Experience with Restful APIs a plus.
• Experience with JBOSS is a plus.
• Experience with Maven/Nexus/Jenkins and Apache Camel is a plus.
• Experience with BDD, Knowledge of Gatling/Scala is a plus.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably SVN/GIT is a plus.
• Experience with Eclipse/IntelliJ IDE is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as tech lead for projects, mentoring junior engineers.
• Understand scope, provide estimates and help plan tasks.
• Assist Business Analysts with requirements and liaise with customers.
• Design, develop, unit test and deploy the solution.
• Participate in group design discussions and provide input.
• Create or modify solutions independently or with supervision.
• Report status to Project Managers and deliver per scope/budget.
• Document all deliverables clearly for project reuse.
