Job summary

Brightstar Lottery is seeking a Manager, Software Engineer (Systems) to lead the software systems development function for new products and enhancements. The role oversees software tools across design, infrastructure, platforms, operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities and databases.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and a minimum of 10 years of work experience, including 5 years in related roles.

  • Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10 years of work experience; 5 years of related experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • The Manager, Software Engineer (Systems) directs the software systems development function, including the design, development, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for software enhancements and new products.
  • Oversees the development of software and software tools used for design, infrastructure, and platforms, including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, and databases.
  • Determines hardware compatibility and/or hardware design.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
