Job summary

ERGO Technology & Services S.A. is seeking a Senior BI/Power Platform specialist to manage Power BI Premium capacity, design scalable analytics, and optimize data models for embedded analytics.

You will collaborate with business super users and data engineers to ensure robust end-to-end data flows across Databricks and the Power BI architecture. The role requires fluent English, deep expertise in DAX, data modeling, and experience with Fabric, XMLA endpoints, and DevOps tools.

Qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Expert knowledge of Power BI Premium, DAX, and data modeling.
• Experience with Power BI Embedded, Fabric, and Databricks.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps and BI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Governing Power BI Premium capacity and performance tuning.
• Designing calculation groups for scalable analytics.
• Optimizing Power BI performance and model design.
• Implementing security concepts including RLS/OLS in embedded scenarios.
• Collaborating with business users and data engineers on end-to-end data flows.
• Coordinating schema evolution with data engineering teams.

How you will get the job done

• governing Power BI Premium/Microsoft Fabric capacity, managing workload, managing On-Premises Gateway and performance tuning
• designing robust Calculation Groups to enable scalable, reusable analytics logic
• optimizing Power BI performance, covering model design, Direct Query/composite model tuning, analyzing query performance, and optimizing large-scale report
• propagating filter, embedding APIs, security context handling, and securing or restricting Edit Mode capabilities in embedded scenarios with Power BI embedded
• enforcing modeling best practices, automating refactoring, validating dependencies, and optimizing complex semantic models
• communicating with business super users and domain experts
• optimizing Direct Query/Delta Lake interactions, coordinating schema evolution with data engineering teams, and ensuring reliable end-to-end data flows between Databricks and Power BI architecture
• designing and implementing complex role-based security concepts, including row level security (RLS), object level security (OLS), user cultures, embedded specific identity mapping, and enterprise grade authorization models
• designing robust Calculation Groups to enable scalable, reusable analytics logic

Skills and experience you will need

• fluent spoken and written English
• technical knowledge of Power BI Premium, DAX, Azure Databricks, Dimensional Modeling
• experience in Power BI embedded & Microsoft Fabric and XMLA Endpoint operations
• practical experience in working with Azure DevOps, Tabular Editor (v2/v3), DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit
• being an active member of Scrum and Agile, cross-functional team developing software for innovative business products
