Job summary

Hozah is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to own a product area, shaping architecture and collaborating with customers to define needs. You will work across Kotlin backend with Spring Boot WebFlux and TypeScript frontend, using AI coding agents in a small, product-minded team.

Qualifications

• You think in product terms and talk to users, translating feedback into scope decisions.
• You have shipped production code end-to-end in the last 12 months, in any language, and can describe what you built.
• You test as you build, and can describe a bug you shipped and a test that would have caught it.
• You use AI coding agents in real work today, and can describe how you check what they produce.
• You’re willing to be on call and take ownership of what you ship.
• You work well in a layered or domain-driven codebase that you did not design.
• You’re comfortable across the stack, able to tweak a React/Next.js frontend or work against an API contract.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of assigned tasks from ticket to production with tests.
• Talk to users to shape and cut scope based on feedback.
• Write acceptance criteria and verify feature usage after release.
• Maintain consistency in the codebase for future engineers.
• Leverage AI coding agents while ensuring quality and accountability.
• Participate in on-call rotations and support what you ship.
• Review others’ PRs and defend your own design when needed.
• Own architecture and staging for a product area and its quality bar.
• Collaborate with customers to define needs and provide design reviews.
