Job summary

Hozah is hiring a Mid-level Software Engineer to join a small engineering team building ANPR, pay-by-web, Autopay, permits, a client console and a motorist account app across ~160 sites. You’ll work on Kotlin backend (Spring Boot WebFlux) and frontend with Next.js/React, in a domain-driven layered architecture, using AI coding agents daily.

You’ll collaborate with product and users to shape features, own delivery end-to-end, and participate in on-call, reviews, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Have shipped production code end-to-end in the last 12 months in any language.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery of features end to end from ticket to production with tests.
• Talk to users to shape scope and learn from usage after release.
• Write acceptance criteria and verify after release.
• Work within an existing layered/domain-driven codebase and maintain consistency.
• Use AI coding agents in daily workflow and ensure accountability for shipped work.
• Take part in on-call rota and own what you ship.
• Review peers' pull requests and welcome feedback.
