Job summary

Solventum is hiring a Java/J2EE developer to join our remote team, contributing to cloud-based enterprise applications and data-driven healthcare solutions. The role focuses on building scalable software and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions for healthcare professionals.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, SQL/NoSQL, and CI/CD tools, shaping software design while supporting customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher with 5+ years of Java/J2EE development.
• Alternative: High School Diploma with 9 years of Java/J2EE development.
• Experience with enterprise-grade, cloud-hosted applications (AWS preferred).

• Work on the team’s software development efforts for world-class software solutions.
• Develop new approaches to increase quality, efficiency and resilience in existing and new software applications.

Your Skills And Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university and 5 years of Java/J2EE development

OR

• High School Diploma/GED and 9 years of Java/J2EE development

AND

• Experience in enterprise level, high volume, hosted applications in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
• Experience with using SQL and NoSQL databases in design, development, and implementation
• Experience using Kubernetes for deploying applications
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas, concepts and information on both user and technical level

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Healthcare industry experience and familiarity with common HL7 and X12 based transactions
• Experience with development tools such as IntelliJ, JIRA, Ansible, Jenkin and/or Git
• Experience with Kafka
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to lead and provide guidance to others
