Job summary

Softeq is seeking a skilled developer to build services and APIs using FastAPI, focusing on data access, business logic, and automation. You will design API contracts, implement analytics data access, and ensure secure, scalable access control across a centralized warehouse layer.

You will work on data ingestion, background jobs, and performance tuning for heavy queries, while writing tests and collaborating in CI/CD-driven releases.

Qualifications

• Production Python 3 and FastAPI with async and pydantic.
• Testing with pytest and CI/CD practices.
• Strong SQL and API data serving from an analytical store.
• Databricks consumer side: connectors, SQL warehouses, service principal authentication, grants.
• Unity Catalog grants and row-level rules understanding.
• API security: OAuth2 / OIDC, JWT, RBAC, audit logging.
• Relational DBs: Oracle and SQL Server with drivers.
• Docker and cloud hosting with secrets store.

Responsibilities

• Builds services and APIs in FastAPI: data access, business logic, integrations, automation.
• Designs API contracts and OpenAPI specifications.
• Access layer to analytical store: parameterized queries, pooling, caching.
• Implements access control using per-route checks and warehouse grants.
• Data ingestion: extraction, intermediate formats, loading into raw layer.
• Background jobs and scheduling with idempotency and retries.
• Owns performance on heavy queries with server-side pagination and profiling.
• Writes tests and participates in review and release.
