Job summary

Capgemini Polska is seeking an experienced Android developer to join cross-functional teams delivering native Android apps across devices. You will work with Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, and modern patterns such as MVP/MVVM, contributing to design and architecture decisions.

Responsibilities include backend integration, cloud connections, and collaborating with UX/UI to optimize user experience. The role embraces AI-assisted coding tools and a hybrid work model with ongoing personal development

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience developing native Android apps.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Android SDK.
• Experience with MVP/MVVM, Dagger/Hilt, RxJava/RxBinding.
• Knowledge of Room/Realm/SQLite, REST/JSON/ Retrofit, Android Jetpack; Git and Gitflow.
• Basic mobile DevOps and CI/CD knowledge.
• Fluent English and German (B2+).
• Interest in AI-assisted software development and learning tools.

Your role

Our cross functional teams of developers, UI/UX designers, business analysts and project managers are responsible for end-to-end enterprise application development process using various modern technologiessuch as front-end (angular- and react-based), mobile applications (iOS and Android) or low-code platform (Salesforce & Dynamics365).They are highly independent, capable in Agile Process and Lean Software Engineering practices. Your project

Digital Customer Experience (DCX) helps global brands as well as public organizations to understand and implement the right mix of business focused digital capabilities and innovations following “Customer-First” approach to address both organization and customer needs.

• Co-developing and enhancing mobile applications based on the Android platform, engaging in various phases of the software development process (requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and publishing in the Google Play Store) depending on your level of experience and expertise.
• Taking responsibility for part or all of the system, depending on the project.
• Integrating applications with the backend, cloud, enterprise platforms, and low-code solutions.
• Collaborating with UX and UI experts to ensure the best possible user experience and, consequently, customer satisfaction.
• Using modern development tools and practices, including AI-assisted coding tools and coding agents where appropriate, while maintaining responsibility for code quality, security and technical decisions.

Your profile

• At least 5 years of experience in developing native applications for the Android platform; experience in iOS or hybrid technologies will be an additional advantage.
• Proficiency in Kotlin or Java and Android SDK.
• Practical knowledge of design and architectural patterns such as MVP, MVVM, dependency injection (Dagger, Hilt), reactive programming (RxJava, RxBinding).
• Databases (Room, Realm, SQLite), network communication (REST, JSON, Retrofit), Android Jetpack, as well as version control systems like Git and Gitflow.
• Basic knowledge of mobile DevOps and CI/CD.
• Fluent communication in English and German (B2+ level).
• Interest in AI-assisted software development and a willingness to learn how coding agents can support activities such as implementation, testing, code review, documentation and technical exploration. Previous experience with these tools is welcome but not required.
