Job summary

Capgemini is hiring a senior Python-focused engineer to design and deliver scalable cloud-based back-end solutions. You will contribute to architectures across Python, cloud, and Java systems while leading Python projects and supporting AI/GenAI initiatives.

You will mentor peers, promote clean code and engineering standards, and actively participate in knowledge sharing through workshops and communities within Capgemini. English proficiency is essential, with German a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience writing high-quality, scalable Python code and designing robust software architectures.
• Experience with Python libraries such as Steamlit, Flask, SQLAlchemy, Celery.
• Strong knowledge of AI libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras) and practical AI-powered app development.
• Expertise in LangChain and hands-on work with LLMs (GPT-4, LLaMA); embeddings and vector databases.
• Ability to integrate AI components with APIs and databases to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn and share knowledge; strong collaboration and independence.
• Commitment to building a Center of Excellence for AI development.

Your profile

• Python Expertise: Over 5 years of experience in writing high-quality, scalable code and designing robust software architectures using libraries like Steamlit , Flask, SQLAlchemy, Celery etc.
• Preferred AI Development Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and Keras, with practical experience in building AI-powered applications.
• Preferred AI and LLM Skills: Expertise in frameworks like LangChain and hands‑on experience with large language models (e.g., GPT-4, LLaMA). Proficient in working with embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering.
• System Integration: Proven ability to seamlessly integrate AI components with other system elements (e.g., APIs, databases) to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English; knowledge of German is a plus.
• Continuous Learning: Eager to adopt new technologies and embrace technical challenges.
• Collaboration and Independence: Highly organized, self‑reliant, and passionate about sharing knowledge. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
