Job summary

Google Warsaw is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML, Cloud AI to build GenAI-powered developer tools and integrate with the latest LLMs. You will work on server-side and middleware components, collaborating across product, research, and engineering teams to ship robust features at scale.

You will own moderately complex projects, mentor teammates, and drive engineering excellence with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
• 3 years of experience with software development in training, developing or applying machine learning models.
• 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
• Experience with building Integrated Development Environments (IDEs) or Enterprise Software is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain the features and components for GenAI-powered developer tools, focusing on server-side code and middleware systems that interact with Google's latest LLMs.
• Take end-to-end ownership of moderately complex projects or major features, from technical design and scoping through implementation, launch, and production support.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, researchers, Site Reliability Engineers (SREs), and other engineers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Author and present detailed design documents for features and system improvements. Participate in and contribute to design and code reviews, ensuring high standards of quality and engineering excellence.
• Uphold and advocate for software engineering best practices within the team, with a focus on code quality, test coverage, system reliability, performance optimization, and maintainability.
