Job summary

Nordea is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Prices team, working on modernizing data pipelines with Java/Spring Boot and AI-enabled workflows. The role is based in Poland/Finland with a hybrid model and international collaboration across teams.

You'll design, build, and deploy production-grade software, own incidents, and mentor colleagues, all while partnering with stakeholders to deliver robust pricing solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as Senior Software Engineer.
• Expert Java, Spring Boot, Project Reactor.
• Kafka, JMS, or equivalent event-driven messaging.
• REST API design and implementation.
• Oracle or other RDBMS (query performance).
• Clean Code, SOLID, design patterns, testable architecture.
• Docker and containerization.
• CI/CD pipelines (built and maintained).
• AI-assisted development experience.
• Good English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of requirements from Product Owner and translate into working software.
• Make architectural decisions shaping system evolution for years ahead.
• Review code daily and raise quality across the team.
• Drive Kubernetes migration and cloud-native transformation of services.
• Mentor and pair-program with developers to strengthen the team.
• Communicate with business stakeholders to translate complexity into clarity.
• Own production incidents and ensure fast diagnosis and resolution.
