Job summary

F5 Networks, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to develop and implement strategic security processes and technical solutions, enhancing our security posture across cloud services and on-premises environments.

You will collaborate with Architecture, SRE, and Operations to deploy controls, perform security testing, and drive zero-trust and IAM patterns using cloud-agnostic tooling. Strong scripting and cloud knowledge are required.

Qualifications

BS/MS in CS or Eng or equivalent experience.
5 years of progressive responsibility in a security organization.
2–6 years of relevant security engineering or network security experience.
Experience with high-availability enterprise production environments.

Responsibilities

Identify organizational risks to confidentiality, integrity, and availability and determine mitigations.
Leverage cloud services to automate security and control activities.
Develop or implement open-source/third-party tools for threat detection and analysis.
Perform security assessments against cloud-hosted and on-premise systems (static and dynamic analysis).
Review changes to services and networks for security impacts.
Manage penetration tests and security testing of applications and networks.
Assist in detection and response as a security SME.
Design, implement, and maintain security controls and tooling.
