Job summary

F5 is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to advance our security program across cloud and on-prem environments. You will develop strategic processes and build tools to strengthen our security posture while collaborating with Architecture, SRE, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities include risk assessment, cloud-native security automation, threat detection, and validating security controls across enterprise environments and F5aaS offerings. Strong scripting and cloud skills are required.

Qualifications

• 5 years of progressive responsibility in a security organization.
• 2-6 years of security engineering or network security.
• Experience in cloud-native security environments and IAM.
• Experience with security testing tools and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Identify organizational risks and determine mitigations.
• Leverage Azure, AWS, and GCP cloud services for security automation.
• Develop or implement security tools for threat detection and analysis.
• Perform security assessments on enterprise and cloud environments.
• Review and test changes to services, networks for security impact.
• Manage penetration and segmentation testing of applications and networks.
• Propose and implement new security controls and patterns.
