Job summary

State Street seeks a Senior Data Engineer to join Platform Security Solutions within Technology Platform Engineering & Operations. You will own data engineering across on-prem and cloud products, enabling internal customers to make data-driven decisions with high-quality data across distributed systems and data warehouses.

Role emphasizes data pipelines, data models, and data platforms, with AI-assisted development potential, while collaborating across cybersecurity and IT teams in a bank

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with on-prem and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• Experience building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, architectures, and data models.
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server).
• Experience building production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Experience with platforms like PowerBI, Databricks, Snowflake.
• Understanding of enterprise infrastructure: servers, storage, networking, access control, and deployment environments.
• Strong experience with APIs and data integration.
• Good communication skills translating non-technical requirements into robust solutions.
• Familiarity with SDLC tooling: GIT, CI/CD, Jira.
