Job summary

Tenarai Europe is seeking a Senior Software QA Engineer / SDET to drive automation across cloud-native microservices for an airline industry project. You will implement API test frameworks, run automated and manual testing, and collaborate with global teams to ensure release readiness.

The role requires 5+ years' experience, strong Java/TestNG skills, and proficiency with REST/JSON, gRPC, and CI/CD integrations. Onsite office with development budget and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional automation testing in QA/SDET roles.
• Strong Java, TestNG, RestAssured expertise.
• Experience with API testing (JSON/XML/gRPC).
• Familiar with Postman, Bloom RPC, Bazel/Maven tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automated API test frameworks for cloud-native microservices in a monorepo environment
• Develop and execute automated tests for new and existing product features, ensuring full coverage using BDD (Cucumber)
• Integrate automated tests into standardized CI/CD pipelines for regression and release testing
• Perform manual and automated testing; validate defect tickets and verify fixes
• Identify, diagnose, and work with development teams to resolve defects quickly
• Maintain technical test documentation and ensure the overall quality of test suites
• Lead test planning and execution for complex, API-driven platforms
• Monitor test execution and provide detailed quality and release readiness reports
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and update task status in Rally daily
• Provide on-call coverage and support post-implementation
