Job summary

Euroclear in Poland is seeking a Senior Scrum Master to drive agile delivery, facilitate ceremonies, and lead two Scrum teams locally and offshore.

You will own project planning, budgets, staffing, and governance, combining Agile with Waterfall when needed, and coach teams to higher Scrum maturity.

This permanent role requires stakeholder engagement across product, technical, and procurement functions.

Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master with proven delivery of agile projects.
• Experience leading hybrid and offshore teams (2 teams).
• Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Knowledge of wholesale financial markets, UK equities or bond settlement is beneficial.
• Matrix management experience.
• PM framework certifications (Prince2, PMI) desirable.

• Partner with Product Owners to manage intake, prioritize backlogs, and resolve conflicts.
• Coach teams in Agile frameworks and progress Scrum maturity.
• Act as Agile ambassador, engaging stakeholders to support delivery.

• Support feasibility analysis of backlog items with Product Owners and Architects.
• Track performance and achievements through regular reviews against targets.

At Euroclear, the Senior Scrum Master plays a pivotal role in driving agile delivery and fostering high-performing teams. You will lead up to two Scrum teams, both locally and offshore, ensuring that all Scrum ceremonies—sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives—are executed efficiently and effectively.

Beyond agile facilitation, you will take ownership of project planning, including defining timelines, budgets, staffing needs, and resource allocation across project phases. Given the complexity of our initiatives, we seek candidates who also bring experience in traditional waterfall-style IT project management and have a solid background in people leadership.

Your role

• Partner with Product Owners to manage intake, prioritize backlogs, and resolve conflicts—helping teams navigate change smoothly.
• Coach team members in Agile frameworks, guiding them toward greater Scrum maturity in environments where Agile adoption is evolving.
• Act as an Agile ambassador, engaging stakeholders outside the Scrum teams to clarify their role in supporting delivery.
• Define project governance, scope, and responsibilities across business and technical domains.
• Oversee business, technical, organizational, and financial aspects of assigned change initiatives.
• Collaborate with Corporate Procurement to negotiate and manage contracts with external suppliers.
• Support feasibility analysis of backlog items in partnership with Product Owners and Enterprise/Application Architects.
• Track performance and achievements through regular reviews against defined targets.

Your profile

• Proven experience in wholesale financial markets, ideally with knowledge of UK equities or bond settlement.
• Demonstrated success in managing hybrid and offshore teams, with at least two teams under your leadership.
• Certified Scrum Master with a strong track record of delivering change through Agile practices.
• Experience leading medium to large-scale projects across the full lifecycle using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Certification in a recognized project management framework (e.g. Prince2, PMI) is highly desirable.
• Comfortable operating in a matrix management environment, engaging effectively with both senior and junior colleagues.
