Job summary

EDB is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team of sales engineering professionals. You will support the sales team in all technical aspects of the process, including presentations, demos, pilots and workshops across Central & Eastern Europe.

You will collaborate with Field & Inside Sales, Partners, Product Management and Engineering to relay technical requirements to clients. This role focuses on driving adoption of EDB Postgres, solving complex data and AI workloads, and traveling to

Qualifications

Experience presenting to executives and driving technical discussions with customers
Ability to conduct proof-of-concepts from requirements to objective achievement
Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
Knowledge of NoSQL concepts and document stores (MongoDB, Hadoop, Cassandra)
Strong SQL skills and database performance-tuning experience
Linux system administration and troubleshooting
Willingness to travel and work on-site with customers/partners

Responsibilities

Lead technical discussions with customers, prospects, and partners to advance sales in the region
Provide technical expertise to expand subscriptions and services revenue
Support sales motions with hands-on product demonstrations and pilots
Coordinate with Professional Services to deliver deployment requirements and SOWs
Develop training and enablement plans for clients and partners
Serve as a technical liaison between customers, Partners, and EDB SEs for opportunities
