Job summary

Aristocrat is seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant to oversee billing, revenue automation and AR processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections and strong financial controls. This role collaborates with Business Intelligence and Systems teams to resolve automation issues and drive improvements.

You will manage disputes, review vendor calculations, support audits, and prepare frequent revenue reports for senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience in revenue accounting, billing and accounts receivable in a high-volume environment.
• Solid understanding of revenue processes, accruals and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing mailbox and resolve queries with urgency.
• Lead resolution of high-priority billing disputes and investigate complex operator matters.
• Maintain Revenue Automation Database with accurate rates and terms.
• Upload bonuses and adjustments to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Perform pre-invoicing checks and data integrity reviews.
• Extract and issue large-scale invoicing data on schedule.
• Review calculations for accuracy and contractual compliance.
• Monitor long-outstanding AR balances and drive collections.
• Prepare and distribute weekly AR and revenue reports.
• Support payment runs and AR/AP queries, including audits.
• Collaborate with BI and Systems teams to resolve automation issues.

The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for overseeing billing, revenue automation and accounts receivable processes to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections and strong financial control. This role plays a key part in managing revenue systems, resolving disputes, supporting audits and driving operational improvements across commercial and finance teams.

What You'll Do

• Manage and maintain the billing mailbox, ensuring timely resolution of queries and prioritisation of urgent issues.
• Lead the resolution of high-priority billing disputes, including investigation of historical and complex operator matters.
• Oversee and maintain the Revenue Automation Database, ensuring accurate commercial rates, contract terms and amendments are reflected.
• Upload bonuses, promotions and miscellaneous adjustments into the automation system to support accurate invoicing.
• Perform pre-invoicing checks, including validation of new commercial connections and data integrity reviews.
• Extract, validate and issue large-scale invoicing data in accordance with agreed timelines.
• Review operator and vendor calculations to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
• Investigate and resolve BVE variances, including supporting accruals where automation does not fully support the process.
• Monitor and follow up on long-outstanding accounts receivable balances, driving timely collections.
• Prepare and distribute weekly AR and revenue reports to commercial and finance stakeholders.
• Support payment runs and assist with AR/AP queries, including payment allocations, confirmations and audit-related requests.
• Act as a key liaison with Business Intelligence and Systems teams to resolve automation issues and drive continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Strong experience in revenue accounting, billing and accounts receivable within a complex or high-volume environment.
• Solid understanding of revenue processes, accruals, reconciliations and financial controls.
• Experience working with automation tools, billing systems or revenue databases; comfortable working with large datasets.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate discrepancies and resolve complex disputes.
• Diligent, organised and able to manage several priorities in a fast paced environment.
• Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with commercial, finance, BI and payment teams.
