Hatch in Poland seeks a Senior Rail Systems Communications Engineer to design and implement state-of-the-art rail communications networks for global clients. The role involves developing design criteria, contract documents, cost estimates, and overseeing testing and commissioning, with potential international travel.

Strong English communication, project coordination, and knowledge of SCADA, fibre optic, CCTV, and network management are essential. Based in Katowice, Poland.

Formación

• Experience with BICSI standards and regulations.
• Design of detailed fibreoptic infrastructure including outside plant and datacentres.
• SCADA systems design including PLCs and data aggregation equipment.
• CCTV and access control systems design and supporting networks.
• Wireless voice and data systems for rail vehicles and facilities.
• Passenger information signage and public address design.
• Backup power systems for communications applications.
• Knowledge of enterprise network management and security controls.
• Excellent English communication; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Experience in transit/rail industry and ability to travel internationally.
• PMI certification desirable but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Develop conceptual designs and contract documents for rail communications.
• Prepare cost estimates and review contractor designs and data.
• Oversee testing, commissioning and cut-over of networks and data centres.
• Coordinate with clients worldwide and manage project teams.
• Ensure security controls and disaster recovery planning for network infrastructure.
• Travel to client sites as required.
