Job summary

Flex is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer in Bielsko-Biała, Poland to support the Anord Mardix portfolio and the upcoming Axiom spin-off. You will design and optimize electromechanical products, prepare detailed drawings, and drive manufacturing documentation in line with IEC/UL standards for data center power solutions.

You will work with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management to advance NPI/NPD initiatives, contribute to design improvements, and travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Design Engineer, Mechanical Designer, or Product Development Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor, or similar tools such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Ability to create, interpret, and maintain technical documentation.
• Preferred experience with electrical, power distribution, or industrial manufacturing sectors PDM/PLM systems DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Experience working in a project-driven environment and collaborating across multiple functions.
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
• Fluent English skills, enabling effective communication in an international environment.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new products, components, and electromechanical solutions.
• Create 3D models and detailed 2D technical drawings.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
• Support testing, validation, and product introduction activities.
• Analyze and implement design improvements focused on quality, cost optimization, and manufacturability.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to products and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Management.
• Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) and New Product Development (NPD) projects.
