Job summary

Engenious is seeking a QA Engineer to join a product team developing advanced energy applications, including algorithms that determine the state of electrical power networks. You will ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle, combining manual and automated testing and developing test automation in Python.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance.
• Proven experience in test automation using Python.
• Willingness to develop expertise in Power Systems; prior knowledge or experience in this area is a strong advantage.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, MODBUS and IEEE C37.118 is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive testing strategies based on business requirements and solution designs.
• Design, develop, and execute automated and manual test cases covering functional and non-functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain automated tests using Python.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps to improve release quality.
• Work with physical laboratory equipment to validate real-life scenarios.
• Manage test execution and reporting using Zephyr Scale and Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with developers to identify, investigate, and resolve software issues.
• Actively participate in Agile development processes and promote software testing best practices.
• Develop domain knowledge in Power Systems to support the full product lifecycle.

You will work closely with software developers, scientists, and Product Management to deliver smarter, greener, and more reliable energy solutions.

As part of the development team, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality throughout the development lifecycle. You will combine manual and automated testing, develop test automation in Python, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, and validate real-life scenarios using physical laboratory equipment. You will also have the opportunity to develop your expertise in Power Systems and contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices and product reliability.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance
• Proven experience in test automation using Python
• Willingness to develop expertise in Power Systems; prior knowledge or experience in this area is a strong advantage
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, MODBUS, and IEEE C37.118 is a strong advantage
