Job summary

RBW Consulting seeks a Senior QC Specialist in a GMP pharmaceutical setting. The role blends hands-on analytical work with technical leadership, mentoring junior staff, and driving method development and improvements for HPLC and GC analyses.

The candidate will oversee testing, ensure data integrity, investigate OOS/OOT events, and collaborate with QA, Production, and other teams to uphold quality standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Proven pharmaceutical QC experience within a GMP-regulated environment.
• Strong hands-on expertise with HPLC and GC.
• Experience with analytical method validation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of OOS/OOT investigations, audits, and GMP compliance.
• Organised, proactive, and quality-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee analytical testing of products, raw materials, and intermediates in line with GMP requirements.
• Act as a technical expert for HPLC and GC analysis and troubleshooting.
• Lead method development, validation, optimisation, and continuous improvement projects.
• Review analytical data and ensure compliance with data integrity standards.
• Investigate OOS and OOT results and support root cause analysis activities.
• Support equipment qualification, calibration, and maintenance programmes.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior analysts and help coordinate daily laboratory activities.
• Collaborate closely with QA, Production, and other cross-functional teams.
