Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our R&D team in Gdańsk. You will validate communication-centric security solutions across wireless and addressable portfolios, ensuring reliable, robust, and compliant interactions between devices, gateways, control panels, and backend systems.

The role requires hands-on QA experience, testing of wireless systems, RF protocols, performance metrics, and collaboration with engineers, product management, and compliance

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Electronics, Telecommunications or related field.
• Strong experience in Quality Assurance domain.
• Experience in wireless systems validation, bus-based systems or hardware testing (communication).
• Experience with performance-oriented testing (latency, range, throughput).
• Knowledge of Sub-GHz radio systems, RF protocols, or IoT communication.
• Knowledge of QA processes, methods and tools and ability to use them in practice.
• Analytical, data-driven approach to testing and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills (debug logs, traces, serial output) and English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Validate RF-based communication (long-range, low-power signaling, high-throughput transmission).
• Execute RF performance and robustness tests.
• Test addressable and hybrid installations (device addressing, enrollment, topology).
• Test protocol behaviors (eg. protocol coexistence and prioritization).
• Support automation-based test solutions and validation setups.
• Support compliance readiness for EN 50131 through structured test evidence.
• Create and maintain test plans, test reports, and defect documentation.
• Collaborate daily with R&D engineers, product management, and compliance teams.
