Job summary

Kidde Global Solutions in Poland is seeking a hands-on QA Team Leader to guide a team responsible for verification and validation of security sensors and peripheral devices within our R&D organization. You will lead a team, coordinate testing activities, and ensure quality across hardware and embedded software.

You will collaborate with hardware, firmware, system engineering, product management, and certification teams to meet European regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in electronics or related field
• 5+ years in QA, verification & validation, testing, or product quality
• Experience testing hardware, embedded, electromechanical, or RF-based products
• Strong understanding of structured test methodologies and quality processes
• Hands-on laboratory testing experience and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4-5 QA engineers
• Define validation and verification strategies for new product developments
• Coach and mentor team members in testing methodologies and quality practices
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of QA engineers
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, test coverage, and efficiency
• Oversee verification and validation activities for security sensors and peripherals
• Review and approve test plans, test reports, and quality deliverables
• Validate functional behavior of wired and wireless sensors
• Verify product operation under normal, fault, recovery, environmental, and long-term reliability conditions
• Support sustaining engineering activities for legacy sensor portfolios
• Drive root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions
• Work closely with hardware, firmware, system, and product teams
• Provide clear quality status, reporting, and release recommendations
• Contribute to product quality strategy within the R&D organization
