Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to reinforce the Charles River Development platform. You will design scalable automated test frameworks, expand coverage across frontend, backend, and APIs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous delivery improvements.

You will work in a hybrid setup, with at least three days in the office weekly, contributing to quality best practices and testing infrastructure used across teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years in software testing within a process-driven tech environment.
• Proficient in at least one modern OOP language (Java, C#, JS, Python).
• Hands-on front-end testing with Playwright or Selenium.
• Back-end/API testing experience with REST/SOAP APIs.
• Solid SQL skills and database understanding.
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable automated test frameworks and regression suites.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and BAs to ensure quality.
• Expand automation coverage across functional, integration, and system testing.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.
• Identify quality risks early and drive testing process improvements.
• Contribute to shared automation libraries and testing infrastructure.
• Advocate quality engineering best practices across the lifecycle.
