Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a Technical Lead QA Engineer to lead test automation for data platforms, ETL pipelines, and backend systems. You will design and maintain automation frameworks, drive quality initiatives, and work closely with development teams to shift-left quality across data operations.

The role emphasizes building scalable test tools, API and data validation, and integrating testing into CI/CD pipelines in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in QA Automation.
• Strong, practical experience with Python (3+ years).
• Ability to write clean, maintainable automation code and extend frameworks.
• Strong, proven experience with Pytest (2+ years).
• Hands-on experience with Git (daily usage).
• Azure DevOps: Pipelines, repos, boards, test plans.
• Backend & API testing expertise: REST services, authentication, data validation.
• Strong SQL and Python for test automation and ETL validation.
• Experience with Databricks (2+ years).
• Experience with test automation tools and scaling frameworks.
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and pipeline integration.
• Familiarity with data warehouses and ETL testing.
• Ability to own architecture and drive quality strategy.
• Experience collaborating with developers and mentoring others.
• Fast learner, adaptable to new tools and tech.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated test frameworks (unit, integration, end‑to‑end).
• Drive change and engage stakeholders to promote test automation.
• Automate data quality checks for Data Warehouses, Data Lake, and BigData.
• Create reusable test tools/packages for multiple projects.
• Automate API and backend testing (REST/gRPC), run performance tests.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and collaborate with platform/infra/ML teams.
