Job summary

Paralucent is seeking a QA Analyst / Software Tester (Tier 2) to act as the quality gate for fixes and releases. You will ensure production stability across a mixed portfolio of vendor-supported SaaS and custom .NET/SharePoint apps, through rigorous validation.

The role focuses on preventing repeat incidents, reducing rework, and ensuring smooth deployments. 10+ years in QA, strong automation skills, and experience with Azure DevOps/JIRA are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years QA/testing in enterprise environments (production/operational support preferred).
• Strong manual and automation testing for defect validation and release cycles.
• Experience with .NET and/or Microsoft SharePoint applications.
• Familiarity with vendor-supported SaaS applications and coordination with support teams.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA, TestRail).
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve productivity in test design and validation.
• Strong documentation skills for test evidence, risks and release readiness.
• Experience writing, updating, debugging and executing automation scripts.
• Experience in managing a team of QAs (optional but good to have).

Responsibilities

• Own Tier 2 validation: reproduce issues, validate fixes, document evidence.
• Perform regression and impact testing (manual and automated).
• Support release validation by executing regression and smoke tests.
• Manage defects end-to-end using Azure DevOps, JIRA, or TestRail.
• Build and maintain lean regression test packs and incident-based test scenarios.
