Senior Python Developer for trading app @ Zennbot – Polska

Remote — B2B - 20k-30k PLN/month — Start ASAP

We're a bootstrapped B2C finance startup with 1000+ paying users and growing fast. We’re expanding our automated trading app to support building and running custom trading algorithms. We’re looking for a senior Python developer with a strong interest in trading and quantitative systems. You’ll work closely with the founder/CTO to design and build the new backend from scratch.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship the backend of our trading app from scratch in Python
• Design and implement core trading logic, data pipelines, and APIs
• Work with real market and trading data, focusing on correctness and performance
• Write unit tests and documentation to keep the system reliable and maintainable
• Work fully async on Slack + GitHub, no pointless meetings, only written status updates
• Own the backend end to end, from data ingestion to production reliability

Qualifications

• Advanced Python experience
• Shipped and operated backend systems at scale
• Strong experience with NumPy, pandas, and efficient data handling
• Comfortable with DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to reason about concurrency, async code, and background processing
• Experience with python trading, backtesting and optimization libraries
• Familiarity with trading and market concepts
• Some experience with MQL, Pinescript, TradingView or similar
• Experience with Django, Celery, Postgres, Elasticsearch is a plus
• Values testing, documentation, and code quality, practices TDD
• Very comfortable with the terminal, Git, and GitHub
• You want to set your own hours and have zero weekly meetings
• Communicate clearly in English
