Job summary

Software Mind is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to design and build scalable backend services for a data-intensive platform hosted on Microsoft Azure. You will work with large datasets, distributed systems and modern data processing techniques.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, contribute to CI/CD, and apply AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity while delivering reliable APIs and robust data pipelines in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial Python backend experience.
• Experience building backend apps and REST APIs.
• Strong SQL knowledge with PostgreSQL or similar.
• Hands-on with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with data-intensive applications and pipelines.
• Understanding of software engineering best practices and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
• Build scalable data ingestion, processing and transformation pipelines.
• Work with Azure and PostgreSQL, containerized workloads and event-driven architectures.
• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD and IaC.
• Collaborate on system design, data modeling and platform improvements.
• Improve software quality through code reviews and testing, mentoring juniors.
