Software Mind is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to design and scale backend services for a data-intensive platform used by a UK-based insurer. You’ll work with Python, REST APIs, Azure/AWS, Databricks, CI/CD, and IaC, shaping data pipelines and cloud-native architectures.

The role offers flexible, remote cooperation with international projects and opportunities to grow within a non-corporate, collaborative culture.

Formación

• 5+ years of Python backend development experience.
• Strong experience building backend applications and REST APIs.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience building data-intensive applications and data pipelines.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing and clean code.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and maintain backend services and REST APIs using Python.
• Build scalable data ingestion, processing and transformation pipelines.
• Work with Azure/AWS, containerized workloads and PostgreSQL.
• Contribute to cloud-native architecture, CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
• Collaborate on system design, data modelling and platform improvements.
• Mentor less experienced developers and promote code quality through reviews.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and problem solving.
