Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead all PM processes for small to medium complexity projects or work packages. The role reports to the Senior Manager – Global Engineering Integration and involves hybrid work with two days at the office.

Responsibilities include planning, execution, closing, stakeholder management, and continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical or management discipline.
• 5+ years of experience coordinating small to medium projects, preferably with Westinghouse.
• Knowledge of PMI's PMBOK and project management best practices.
• Certifications: Westinghouse PM qualification and PMI PMP.

As a SeniorProject Manageryouwill be responsible for all project management processes on small to medium complexity projects or on a portion (i.e. work package) of medium to complex project. Oversee small to medium team sizes which may include project controls and engineers.

You will report to the Senior Manager – Global Engineering Integration. You will work in hybrid mode with 2 days at the office.

Responsibilities

• Project planning
  • Complete all aspects of planning process including authoring project plans and developing scope, schedule, and cost baselines.
• Project executing
  • Assume overall responsibility for profitability of contracts. Based on project plan, follow department protocols for acquiring team members to complete the work. Manage all aspects of project including scope, schedule, cost, risk, procurement, quality, resources, communications, and partners through use of delegates/support as applicable. Interpret and transmit project/contract requirements, and subsequent changes, to teams following an integrated change management process. Prepare or oversee project cost expenditure forecasts and progress evaluations/projections (including Earned Value Management) to support project performance and financial reporting requirements. Review project expenditures for compliance with project baselines and scope. Promote teamwork and, including issuing and maintenance of project process metrics and process maps to ensure team, customer, and all partners are kept informed of project status.
• Project closing
  • Close project by archiving work in financial, scheduling, document management, and resource management systems/tools. Perform final project quality assessment and report out. Identify opportunities for improvement, lessons, and risk avoidance for future work.
• Develop relationships with product line team, customer, suppliers, and other partners to bring project to successful completion.
• Seek opportunities and implement continuous improvements to enhance project performance.
• Identify improvement opportunities which will add value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree. Applicable disciplines are Project Management, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or related technical discipline.
• +2 years of Westinghouse, industry, or prior experience or 4-year university degree in Project Management.
  • 5+ years of Westinghouse experience coordinating small scale scopes or projects.
• Knowledge of Project Management Institute's Project Management Body of Knowledge.
• Advanced interpersonal skills such as effective verbal and written communications, ability to lead and direct complex team structures, able to develop relationships with stakeholders in upper management positions, able to analyze problems, establish facts, and make complex decisions.
• Certifications:
  • Westinghouse Project Manager qualification completed.
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
