Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Warszawa is seeking a Senior Engineer to verify quality and technical requirements across projects, from bid phase to manufacturing and delivery. You will assess suppliers, manage projects and collaborate with customers in energy systems including AP1000, AP300 and eVinci.

Hybrid work arrangement with two in-office days, travel up to 20% within Europe, and the base salary range of 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month plus potential incentive pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in contract management in project-based environments.
• Experience in the Power Generation, Nuclear Industries or related sectors (Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore, Shipbuilding, Manufacturing).
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development (20% varies by project demand, mostly within Europe).
• Demonstrates exceptional negotiation, communication and analytical capabilities, effectively influencing stakeholders and driving successful business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Verify quality and technical requirements for projects, products and service deliveries for Westinghouse, from bid phase through manufacturing and delivery.
• Evaluate suppliers as requested by the Delivery Stream Manager, work with customers, manage projects and report on opportunities.
• Lead RFQ package creation, supplier design proposal and compliance reviews.
• Provide supplier oversight and QA witness/hold point execution, and coordinate with logistics for shipment.

As a Senior Engineer you will verify quality and technical requirements for projects, products and service deliveries for Westinghouse – from bid phase and component design through manufacturing and delivery. You will evaluate suppliers as requested by the Delivery Stream Manager, work with customers, manage projects and report on opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, eVinci and other products within the Energy Systems Portfolio. Personal, industrial and nuclear safety is a fundamental part of the job.

Hybrid – 2 days in the office a week for team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Supplier Assessment:
  • Support Supplier Identification and down selection.
  • Support completion of Supplier Audits and Technical Evaluations.
  • Support completion of NDA/PIA negotiations.
  • Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) package creation (draft SAP requisition for RFQ including all technical and quality requirements).
  • Lead Supplier Design Proposal / Compliance Matrix review meetings.
• Supplier Oversight:
  • Creating the Manufacturing and Process Plan estimates for use in design option selection or validation of cost and schedule.
  • Accomplish Supplier Oversight Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Witness and Hold Points.
  • Support the project management team to work with Supplier Quality support organizations.
• Supplier Development & Management:
  • Create agendas and lead kick‑off meetings with suppliers.
  • Conduct scheduled meetings (e.g., bi‑weekly, weekly) with Supplier Project Team Members.
  • Manage Westinghouse Project Support Team execution.
  • Manage execution of required Supplier QA Witness and Hold Points.
  • Hold pre‑job briefs and kick‑off meetings for important/critical PO manufacturing activities.
  • Support Purchase Order (PO) Change Notices.
  • Provide periodic Project Schedule Updates and Customer Status Updates.
  • Ensure all required Supplier PO scope is complete, including fabrication, testing and documentation.
  • Complete the Westinghouse Quality Release (QR) to support shipment.
  • Archive the QR and associated Quality Assurance Data Package (QADP) in PRIME.
  • Send QR/QADP from PRIME to the site or customer (as defined by the project) to aid in receipt and turnover of equipment.
  • Work with Westinghouse Logistics to arrange for shipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in contract management in project‑based environments.
• Experience in the Power Generation, Nuclear Industries or any of the following industries: Oil & Gas, Pipelines, Refineries, Offshore Oil Production Platforms, Shipbuilding, Manufacturing Plants, Supply Chain.
• Fluent in English.
• Willingness to travel to support emergent project issues/supplier development (20% varies by project demand, mostly within Europe).

The gross base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be 11,416 to 14,266 PLN gross per month. In addition to the base pay, this role may be eligible for incentive pay based on company and individual performance.
