Job summary

Maersk Project Logistics in Gdansk is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex logistics projects for global clients. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage over-dimensional and containerized transports, and drive end-to-end solutions with a strong focus on service quality and cost awareness.

You will join a large, global Operations team delivering best-in-class project logistics, while mentoring colleagues and developing customer relationships across regions.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in sales/BD/account management within logistics or freight forwarding.
• Deep understanding of global trade and supply chain operations.
• 5+ years experience with over dimensional transports by sea and/or road.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with financial acumen and project management capabilities.
• Cultural adaptability and willingness to travel internationally.
• Polish citizenship.
• Fluent Polish and English; German language skills are a plus.

Key responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be a part of a team of over 200 experienced colleagues in the Maersk Project Logistics product, where we stride to deliver the best service for our customers.

Together with the Operations team you will play a key role in designing tailor‑made logistics solutions and coordination of various projects for our customers as well as being part of our accelerated growth within our segment.

You will be working with all aspects in the project forwarding industry including:

• Further build and lead the executional team in Poland within Project Logistics


• Executing transport and logistics solutions globally


• Manage all operational and documentation aspects of the project(s)


• Collaboration with our sales and business development organization to ensure consistent growth.


• Coordination and planning of solutions for our global customer via your team in close cooperation with our customers


• Project coordination and execution, including on ground supervision via your team


• Potential travel related to projects


• Leading Continuous improvement initiatives bringing efficiencies internally & towards our customers

Required experience & skills:

• Proven track record in sales, business development, or account management within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.

• 5+ Years Experience with over dimensional transports by sea and/or road


• Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.


• Analytical mindset with financial acumen and project management capabilities.


• Interested in working with different cultures around the world


• Ability to travel to various locations of execution.


• Fluent in both written and verbal Polish & English – German language skills are a great asset


• For this role we require Polish Citizenship
