Job summary

ALTEN Polska seeks an experienced Purchasing professional to manage supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, and contract drafting for automotive and plastics projects. Based in Gliwice, the role is on-site with potential for relocation across ALTEN Polska branches.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business and at least five years in purchasing, with strong English skills and robust knowledge of logistics and finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing.
• Demonstrated project management exposure in automotive and/or plastics industry.
• Purchasing expertise and advanced technical negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of commercial and company law; strong financial and cash flow management.
• Good English skills (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Define supplier shortlist in line with purchasing policies with Commodity Buyers.
• Collect and structure inputs for RFQs including market constraints, targets, and activity timelines.
• Conduct negotiations aligned with project quality, cost, and timing objectives.
• Identify, propose, and compare alternative sourcing solutions.
• Prepare and submit sourcing recommendations to the Sourcing Board.
• Draft, finalize, and implement supplier contracts.
• Handle purchase requests and purchase orders within the project scope.
• Monitor agreed supplier payment schedules.
• Identify and monitor project risks and opportunities.
• Plan, coordinate, and track internal and external activities through project completion.
• Coordinate cross-functional task forces.
