Job summary

INFOLET SP. Z O.O. is seeking a Senior Production Support Engineer in Kraków to own incident response, drive automation, and improve service reliability for payment applications.

You will coordinate technical resolver teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with engineering and infrastructure groups to minimize downtime. The role requires 6+ years in Production/Applications/Software Engineering, strong Unix/Linux and SQL skills, plus experience with Kubernetes, Java/J2EE,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Production Support, Application Support or Software Engineering, preferably within financial services.

Responsibilities

• Lead service recovery during production incidents and coordinate technical resolver teams.
• Investigate complex application and infrastructure issues using logs, SQL, and Unix/Linux tools.
• Troubleshoot production issues across distributed application environments.
• Respond to queries related to application behaviour and service usage.
• Communicate incident impact, recovery progress and resolution plans to stakeholders.
• Lead and contribute to Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and post‑incident activities.
• Identify recurring operational issues and implement permanent improvements.
• Improve monitoring, alerting and operational processes to increase service resilience.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge materials.
• Design and implement automation using Bash, PowerShell or Python.
• Develop internal operational tools to reduce manual effort and improve team efficiency.
• Use AI productivity tools such as Copilot or Claude to support automation, documentation and operational analysis.
• Participate in change reviews and ensure operational readiness.
• Support deployments, patching, platform maintenance, and Disaster Recovery activities.
• Identify operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation.
• Share technical knowledge and support less experienced team members.

Join a Production Engineering team responsible for supporting business-critical payment applications and maintaining highly available production services.

As a Senior Production Support Engineer, you will combine hands‑on technical expertise with ownership of incident recovery and operational improvements. You will coordinate technical teams during production incidents, troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure issues, drive automation, and work closely with engineering and infrastructure teams to improve service reliability.

You will

Must have

• 6+ years of experience in Production Support, Application Support or Software Engineering, preferably within financial services
• Strong hands‑on Unix/Linux skills and experience troubleshooting production environments
• Very good SQL, including the ability to write complex queries
• Scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell or Python
• Practical experience supporting and maintaining Kubernetes environments
• Experience supporting Java/J2EE applications
• Experience with Oracle, MQ and WebSphere
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and distributed systems
• Experience leading incident management and coordinating technical teams
• Proven experience implementing automation and operational improvements
• Practical experience with AI productivity tools such as Copilot, Claude, or similar
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Very good English and ability to collaborate effectively with global teams

Nice to have

• Knowledge of payment systems or payment processing
• Network troubleshooting knowledge
• ITIL certification
