Senior Product Manager - Retention & Monetization
Location: Remote work with flexible hours within our overlap window
Contract: Full-time, B2B
About Fitollo
Fitollo is a Polish mobile app for personalized meal planning and calorie tracking. Our Premium users receive automatically generated meal plans tailored to their calorie and macronutrient needs.
Fitollo is one of the leading meal-planning apps in Poland, with thousands of paying subscribers. We are preparing for expansion into new markets, and this role will play a key part in getting our retention and monetization ready for it. We are a small, hands-on team working across product, engineering, design and user acquisition.
We are now looking for a Senior Product Manager who will help us move from individual growth experiments to a structured strategy across activation, retention and monetization.
The role
You will own the user journey from onboarding and purchase through first value, continued Premium usage, renewal, cancellation and win-back.
Paywalls, pricing and offers will be part of your scope, but they will not be the whole job. Your primary responsibility will be to understand:
- Do they experience its value quickly enough?
- What prevents them from using their meal plan?
- Why do they cancel or fail to renew?
- Which product changes can materially improve retention and customer lifetime value?
This is a highly hands-on position. You will work directly with data, users and the team, not only manage a roadmap or coordinate delivery. You will also review how we currently run experiments and tracking, and set clear standards for experiment design and data quality.
You will set priorities for activation, retention and monetization together with the founder.
You will report directly to the founder and work closely with our existing Growth Manager, User Acquisition, Design and Engineering.
What you will own
- Own activation, retention and monetization across the subscription lifecycle, from onboarding and purchase to renewal, cancellation and win-back.
- Define what an activated Premium user means and set up the key metrics across the subscription lifecycle.
- Analyse funnels, cohorts, churn and LTV yourself, and close tracking gaps together with the team.
- Talk to users regularly: interviews, cancellation feedback, surveys and app-store reviews.
- Turn findings into a prioritised backlog of hypotheses and experiments across onboarding, meal-plan usage, pricing, paywalls, cancellation flows and win-back.
- Design and evaluate experiments with clear hypotheses, primary and guardrail metrics, and decision criteria.
- Connect acquisition sources and ad promises with downstream activation, retention and customer value.
- Write clear product briefs and work with Design and Engineering from discovery through launch and analysis.
- Guide our Growth Manager on priorities, experiment design and results, and send the founder a short weekly update: what we learned, what we decided and what comes next.
What we expect during the first 90 days
- A clear definition and baseline of Premium activation and retention.
- A mapped subscription journey with the most important data and tracking gaps identified.
- A prioritised 6-8 week backlog based on evidence rather than isolated feature ideas.
- A repeatable process for planning, launching and evaluating experiments.
- The first activation, retention or monetization experiments launched and analysed.
- A clear working rhythm between Product, UA and Design and Engineering.
What we are looking for
- At least 3 years of product management experience.
- Proven experience with a B2C mobile subscription product.
- Hands-on fluency with mobile product analytics, attribution and subscription tooling, using platforms such as AppsFlyer, GA4 or similar.
- Hands-on experience improving activation, retention, churn, monetization or renewals.
- Examples of product decisions that led to measurable business or customer outcomes.
- Strong understanding of funnels, cohorts, experimentation and subscription metrics.
- A proactive, ownership-driven mindset: you identify problems yourself, challenge assumptions, separate evidence from guesses and propose next steps without waiting for a task list.
- Experience combining quantitative data with customer research.
- The ability to turn an ambiguous business problem into a structured plan and a prioritised roadmap.
- Experience mentoring or guiding less experienced team members.
- A pragmatic approach suited to a small team with limited resources and short decision paths.
- Experience in health, fitness or nutrition apps is strongly preferred.
- Strong working English. Polish is a strong advantage.
This role may not be a good fit if
- Your experience is mainly in project coordination or backlog administration.
- You rely on a large analytics, research or product-operations team to investigate problems.
- You measure success primarily by the number of features or experiments launched.
- You are looking for a people-management role with limited hands-on product work.
What we offer
- Real ownership of a commercially important product area.
- Direct access to the founder and fast decision-making.
- A small team without unnecessary organisational layers.
- An existing product with meaningful behavioural and revenue data.
- The opportunity to materially influence how Fitollo activates, retains and monetizes its users.
- Remote work and flexible working hours.
- Compensation: USD 70,000-105,000 per year, B2B contract, depending on experience
