Job summary

Papaya Global is building a consumer-grade fintech product for global payroll and payments, including wallet, card issuing, KYC/onboarding, and withdrawals. You will own the Banco consumer experience end to end, ensuring fast, reliable, and scalable performance across web and mobile.

You will lead a squad with design, analytics, and engineering to raise quality, activation and retention for workers onboarded by our enterprise customers, and you will localize the experience across 160+ countries.

Qualifications

• Experience with consumer-grade fintech or wallet/card issuing apps.
• Strong mobile-first UX instincts focusing on funnels, activation and retention.
• Deep understanding of payments, KYC/AML, payout rails and money movement.
• Ability to quote baselines, interventions and results with metric weaknesses.
• Appreciation for correctness in money-related flows and payouts.
• Ability to tell product stories in first person and justify decisions.
• Experience using AI daily in product work and evaluating AI features.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Banco consumer experience: onboarding, identity verification (KYC), multi-currency wallet, card issuing (virtual/physical), and withdrawals across web and mobile.
• Drive activation and retention by converting invited workers into active, paid users and reducing onboarding drop-off.
• Improve reliability and quality to reduce errors, support tickets, and friction so paying users have a smooth experience.
• Scale localization to 160+ countries, supporting multiple payout rails, banking conventions, and languages.
• Shape the consumer data model (addresses, bank accounts, identity) to power smart UX.
