Job summary

HERE Technologies is seeking a Sr Principal Research Engineer in Poland to own and evolve the Privacy by Design framework across the product lifecycle. You will automate DPIAs, RoPA, DSR processes and privacy governance, enabling scalable, risk-based decisions and embedded privacy controls.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Legal, and Privacy teams to deliver scalable privacy engineering solutions and establish standards across platforms.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Extensive privacy engineering experience with Privacy by Design in production systems.
• Experience with DPIAs, privacy assessments, and data governance.
• Strong cloud architecture skills and PETs knowledge.
• Experience with AI governance and LLM handling is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Automate privacy management workflows and scale DPIAs, RoPA, DSR, and privacy controls.
• Evolve Privacy by Design framework end-to-end and automate manual steps.
• Drive end-to-end DSR enablement including data discovery and fulfillment; ensure auditability.
• Develop privacy risk scanners, metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to measure program effectiveness.
• Act as Technical Privacy Advisor to Product, Engineering, and Security; promote standards and patterns.
