Job summary

Precisely International Jobs is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure across CCX, RCX, and HMS. The role combines software engineering with systems operations, building automation and observability tooling to uphold high availability.

The Senior SRE will mentor engineers, define reliability standards, participate in ORRs, and contribute to incident response and post-incident analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of systems or infrastructure engineering experience in an enterprise production environment.
• High-level developing subject-matter-expert competency in complex infrastructure domains (cloud, IaC, observability).
• Advanced proficiency with Linux (RHEL/Oracle Linux) across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Proficient with Terraform for infrastructure-as-code; experienced with Ansible role development.
• Experience deploying and managing workloads in AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency with Python or Bash for automation.
• Experience designing monitoring architecture and alerting (Datadog preferred).
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, load balancing, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation standards.
• Strong analytical skills; experience with root cause analyses and identifying preventive fixes.
• Ability to define SLOs and lead ORRs; partner with teams on production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain reliability standards across CCX, RCX, HMS (SLOs, SLIs, error budgets).
• Define standards for alerting, logging, and tracing; ensure adoption by engineering teams.
• Lead complex reliability work across on-prem, private cloud, and AWS.
• Build and maintain IaC, deployment automation, monitoring, and observability tooling (Terraform, Ansible, Datadog).
• Collaborate with teams to embed reliability, operability, scalability, backup and DR considerations into service design.
• Lead Operational Readiness Reviews and validate production readiness for changes.
• Contribute to release triage, deployment coordination, and change/security reviews.
• Lead incident response (P1/P2), act as incident commander when needed, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Draft root cause analyses and post-incident reports; implement preventive automation.
• Maintain runbooks, reliability backlogs, and knowledge resources on monitoring gaps and risks.
• Leverage AI tools provided by Precisely for automation, incident analysis, and runbook creation.
• Ensure infrastructure configurations meet security, compliance, vulnerability remediation, and data protection requirements.
• Mentor Associate SREs and SREs; participate in cross-team design reviews.
• Lead project work, coordinate on-call coverage, and demonstrate strong operational discipline.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule and after-hours incidents.
