Job summary

Phoenix Contact Poland is seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to administer and optimize enterprise Linux environments and Kubernetes clusters. You will design automation with Ansible, implement GitOps workflows, and collaborate with international IT teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Linux administration, hands-on Kubernetes, strong scripting skills in Python and Unix Shell, and English fluency for cross-border projects.

Qualifications

• Completed higher education in computer science, engineering, or a comparable technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least five years of relevant experience in Linux administration, platform engineering, infrastructure operations, or a comparable enterprise IT role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise Linux distributions, particularly RHEL, SLES, and Ubuntu.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes administration and cluster lifecycle management.
• Advanced experience with Ansible, automation, and scripting using Python and Unix Shell.
• Fluent English skills, both written and spoken, enabling effective work in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux environments based on RHEL, SLES, and Ubuntu.
• Manage and operate Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of platform services.
• Develop and improve infrastructure automation using Ansible and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Implement and maintain GitOps and CI/CD workflows using tools such as GitLab and Argo CD.
• Monitor system health, analyse incidents, troubleshoot Linux and Kubernetes environments, and restore services efficiently.
• Collaborate with international IT teams and contribute to the continuous improvement of Linux and Kubernetes platforms.
