Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer - Generative AI to help build an Enterprise Agent Development Platform. You will work on production-grade, cloud-native ecosystems to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale using LangGraph and Strands Agents on AWS AgentCore Runtime.

You will promote agents across environments, implement rollback and safety checks, and automate lifecycle tasks with Python, while ensuring governance, PII safety, and quality gates in CI/CD

Qualifications

• 3+ years of platform or backend engineering with AI/ML systems.
• Experience with agent promotion, evaluation gates, or rollback workflows in a production AI project (e.g., AWS AgentCore Runtime endpoint/alias management, agent version comparisons).
• Experience with multi-environment deployment and rollback automation.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Implement agent promotion workflows across dev/qa/prod with evaluation gate enforcement.
• Build agent rollback mechanisms with health checks and smoke tests.
• Manage AWS AgentCore Runtime endpoints, including DEFAULT alias and environment pinning.
• Enforce evaluation gates to block promotion when quality checks fail.
• Develop Python automation for agent lifecycle operations.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer - Generative AI to join our team building an Enterprise Agent Development Platform — a production-grade, cloud-native ecosystem that enables engineering teams to define, orchestrate, deploy, and observe AI agents at scale. The platform standardizes agent development across the organization using LangGraph and Strands Agents on AWS AgentCore Runtime.
