Job summary

EPAM Systems in Poland is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to architect multi-agent workflows, build robust tool interfaces, and deploy evaluation-driven AI solutions.

You will work with LangChain, LangGraph, and OpenAI SDK, implement RAG systems, ensure secure scalable architectures, and contribute to production-grade DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant experience in AI Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency in Python and the modern AI engineering stack
• Expertise in LangChain, LangGraph, and OpenAI SDK
• Familiarity with Hugging Face Transformers and multi-agent workflow optimization
• Skills in asynchronous execution, state management, and concurrency
• Background in designing and integrating with complex REST and GraphQL endpoints
• Competency in handling structured data formats (JSON, XML) for tool calling
• Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure for deploying production-grade AI applications
• Understanding of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma) and embedding strategies for semantic search and RAG implementation
• English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and orchestrate complex multi-agent workflows using LangGraph and LangChain to handle sophisticated queries
• Develop and maintain reliable tool definitions for interacting with complex internal APIs, ensuring the AI can accurately parse, validate, and utilize data
• Build and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems to ground model responses in proprietary data
• Ensure AI responses are structured for rich UI rendering, enabling dynamic graphs, charts, and interactive elements
• Create rigorous testing frameworks, evaluation pipelines, and metrics to assess agent performance, reliability, and accuracy in production
• Take validated prototypes to production readiness, addressing guardrails, security, cost, and scale
• Debug and optimize multi-agent workflows with a focus on asynchronous execution, state management, and concurrency
• Deploy and maintain production-grade AI applications with a strong DevOps mindset
