Job summary

NFQ partners with HomeToGo to expand its technology team in Kraków. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our consumer product group, working with PHP/Symfony, Docker, Kubernetes and related technologies to build scalable marketplace features.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence roadmap decisions, and help deliver high-quality software in an international environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience, ideally with PHP/Symfony.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Relational databases experience (MariaDB, PostgreSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive technical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding design principles behind scalable applications.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Drive the implementation of technical initiatives to improve product quality.
• Partner with Product to influence roadmap and ensure engineering decisions meet user needs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features on time.
• Work with architects to address technical challenges ensuring scalability, reliability and usability of Marketplace products.
• Take ownership of engineering decisions for larger topics and features.
• Contribute to improving the product delivery process.
