Job summary

Spyro Soft is seeking a PHP Software Engineer (Laravel) to join our backend team in Wrocław. You will build backend services using PHP 8.4+, Laravel 12, and design scalable systems with DDD/Hexagonal architecture while maintaining high code quality.

You'll implement REST APIs with OpenAPI 3.x, work with event‑driven communication (Kafka, Redis, MySQL), and contribute to documentation, tests, and reviews in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Very good knowledge of PHP 8.4+.
• Hands‑on experience with Laravel.
• Understanding of REST API design and OpenAPI 3.x.
• Experience with DDD and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Ability to work with event‑driven architecture.
• Experience with Apache Kafka.
• Practical knowledge of MySQL 8+ and ORM tools (e.g., Doctrine).
• Experience with Redis.
• Knowledge of MongoDB — nice to have.
• Very good knowledge of PHPUnit.
• Experience with the Test‑First approach.
• Familiarity with Git, code review practices, and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Nice to have: Magento 2/Adobe Commerce development experience.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing backend services in PHP and Laravel.
• Creating and maintaining REST APIs in line with OpenAPI 3.x standards.
• Implementing solutions in an event‑driven architecture.
• Working with DDD and Hexagonal Architecture.
• Collaborating with the team on process and data‑flow design.
• Preparing unit tests, integration tests, contract tests, and event‑processing tests.
• Participating in code reviews and ensuring high code quality.
• Creating and updating clear and maintainable technical documentation.
