Job summary

A fast-growing software house in Wrocław is looking for a backend developer to join their cross-functional engineering team. You will work on building and maintaining a robust backend platform, developing new services, and ensuring high code quality. The ideal candidate has experience with PHP frameworks such as Symfony and Laravel, as well as knowledge of MySQL and REST APIs. This role offers fully remote work with a unique atmosphere and opportunities for knowledge sharing and professional training.

Our client is a fast-growing company building modern digital products for an international market.
The engineering team based in Wrocław works closely with stakeholders, delivering scalable web applications that support critical business processes and continuous product development.

The project focuses on building and maintaining a robust backend platform — developing new services, improving system scalability and reliability, and ensuring high code quality across cloud-based environments.

• MySQL
• REST APIs, backend integrations
• Backend test automation (e.g. PHPUnit)

• Design, build and maintain scalable, secure backend services using Symfony, PHP, Laravel and MySQL
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers, designers and product owners to deliver high-quality platform features
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend integrations
• Optimise applications for performance, reliability and scalability
• Work with AWS-hosted environments to support cloud-native, production-ready solutions
• Maintain strong version control and CI/CD practices using GitHub
• Contribute to documentation, testing, code quality and engineering best practices
• Support developer tooling and workflows in a Windows-based development environment
