Spyrosoft Ltd is seeking a PHP Software Engineer to join a long-term eCommerce project. You will modernize and extend a large-scale platform used by thousands of online merchants, incorporating CI/CD, automated testing, and OpenAPI-based APIs.

You will focus on new features while improving existing code, writing clean PHP 8.2+ and performing tests. The role offers hybrid work in Szczecin with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, collaborating with engineers, PMs, QA, and product teams.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP, preferably PHP 8.x.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.
• Good knowledge of MySQL and writing SQL without ORM.
• Experience with PHPUnit and automated testing.
• Experience with REST APIs and API integrations.
• Knowledge of Git.
• Experience with legacy codebases and refactoring.
• Understanding of clean code and best practices.
• English sufficient for technical docs.

Responsabilidades

• Developing and maintaining backend functionalities using PHP 8.2+.
• Implementing new features within the core eCommerce platform and admin panel.
• Refactoring and modernizing legacy PHP code.
• Writing clean, modular, testable code.
• Creating and maintaining unit and functional tests.
• Working with MySQL, optimizing SQL queries without ORM.
• Developing and integrating REST APIs based on OpenAPI.
• Working with CI/CD pipelines and automated checks.
• Debugging production issues with monitoring/logging tools.
• Occasionally working with React components for simple UI changes.
• Collaborating with Tech Leads, PMs, QA Engineers and other developers.
• Translating business needs into technical solutions.
