Job summary

Nordea is seeking an experienced Data Analyst (Expert IT Analyst) to consolidate, harmonize, source, store, and distribute payments data across solutions and reporting. The role supports end-to-end payment flows within Nordea's target architecture.

The position operates within SAFe, using Jira and Confluence. Based in Finland or Poland, the candidate will collaborate with architects, product owners, and developers to deliver robust data solutions and AI-enabled improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in designing data intensive solutions, data architectures, and integration patterns.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in the payment domain (ISO20022, SEPA, Swift) and banking dynamics.
• Understanding elicitation techniques and analysis.
• Expertise translating business requirements into functional specs.
• Experience with AI (Copilot, LLM, agentic solutions).
• Excellent English written and spoken communication with international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Elicit requirements (functional and non-functional) with stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Clarify, elicit, and translate requirements into implementation specs with product owners.
• Communicate effectively to align stakeholders on objectives.
• Do data mapping, modeling, and work with information architects.
• Contribute to solution design, maintainability, and architecture of apps.
• Design near real-time data pipelines and analytics pipelines.
• Perform quantitative data analysis to understand issues and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and test engineers.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders and build relationships.
• Own requirements documentation and quality improvements.
• Access complex datasets and perform statistical analysis.
• Promote analytical excellence and best practices across teams.
