Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking an experienced Packaging Development & Engineering professional to lead packaging for new products and optimize existing solutions across brands such as chocolate, biscuits, and meals.

You will coordinate technical work, manage trials, and influence senior stakeholders while ensuring compliance with GMP/HACCP and sustainability goals. The role offers hybrid work and global collaboration.

Working as part of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities to complete packaging design and packaging deployment for innovation/growth projects and productivity projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

You will independently coordinate technical work for projects in line with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks, and coordinate projects to determine appropriate packaging specification information using sampling and supplier management and pilot-plant and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In this role, you will also develop activities such as packaging design and specifications, scale up, commissioning, etc., and plan for the effective use of resources including the use of external agencies and suppliers. To succeed in this role, you will use your understanding of equipment design and manufacturing processes to ensure that packaging specifications are determined with excellence. You will be accountable for stakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions derived from the analysis and interpretation of results; develop and leverage connections both internally and with the external technical community; and create intellectual property to drive competitive advantage.

  • Technical Expertise: Apply rigorous technical understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes,cost&supply chain considerations to ensure robust, scalable, and sustainable designs. Managetrials. Recommend materials and solutions that apply best to our business needs.

  • Strategic Vision: Translate brand strategies and consumer insights into tangible packaging concepts.

  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly within cross-functional teams, collaborating with marketing, supply chain, and production to bring innovative concepts from ideation to launch.

  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure all packaging designs adhere to our high-quality standards, regulatory requirements, and our commitment to responsible and sustainable practices.

  • Drive the packaging sustainability agendaand manage sustainability-focused packaging projects.

What You Will Bring

  • A demonstratedtrack recordof success in packaging developmentfor min. 5 yearsideally within fast moving consumer goods or consumer packaging goods environment.

  • A good understanding of various packaging materials, their properties, and conversion processes.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring precision and excellence in all aspects of design and specification.

  • A proactive,solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive projects forward.

  • Strong communicationand collaboration skills to effectively partner with diverse teams and stakeholdersto influence strategic business decisions.

  • Champion sustainable packaging strategiesandidentifyand evaluate new packaging materials and technologies.

Travel Requirements

The candidate must have availability to occasional travel within MEU (dependingon project requirements).
